I believe that the author, Wayne Coffey, is clearly a hockey enthusiast and was, as a young man, taught by the team to never give up on something, even when you don’t think it is possible to succeed. If I had to guess, I would have to say Coffey grew up in a family full of hockey players and played hockey, such as myself.
